Protection from immissions in newly constructed buildings

An ounce of prevention is better than a pound of cure! That is why you should pay attention to a construction material's harm potential.

Should, despite of all care taken, emission sources exist in the buildings substance (varnishes, wood fibreboards, etc.), they will emit pollutants into the indoor air. Their concentration will vary depending on how low the desired air change rate of an airtight building is.

As a preventive protection from immissions in newly constructed buildings we recommend the use of klimalan at least in the installation level and in dry wall construction. Emissions from interior decoration (furniture, carpets) or from wood care products can be removed from the indoor air by absorbers made from sheep wool (e.g. layers on suspended ceilings).

Possible emission sources:

  • bonded products from wood-based materials, cork panels and the like
  • Insulation material and foams
  • Varnishes, coats, lacquers, care products
  • Glass wool, rock wool, fiber mats
  • Textiles and textile floor covers
  • Cleansing agents, care, and disinfectants
  • Cosmetics, tobacco smoke
  • Emissions from gas stoves and printers

Applications:

  • Between and under rafters
  • Between structural timbers
  • In the installation level
  • Partition and dry walls
  • Ceilings and floors
